Kanas Lake
Kanas Lake is located in the
center of the forest belt of
the Altay Moutains, at an
elevation of 1,374 meters
above sea level the shape of
bean-pod, 25 kilometers long
and 1.6 to 2.9 kilometers
wide. The stable water flow,
the gently sloping shores and the dense helophyte make it an ideal
habitat for fish and waterflow. Kanas in monglian means myterious and
beautiful. Do you why people think it is mysterious place it is
because there was bug monster in the water according to the legend.
but it is true there are some big monster in the lake we call it big
red fish that even can eat the horse soemtimes some as long as 8
meters long.
The mounrains srrounding Lake Kanas differ greatly in altitude,
standing on the bank, one can get bird's eye view of the beauty of
the lake and its surroundings-the seven scenes of the Altay Mountains
With Lake Kanas as its center, a Natural Reservation has been
established ,covering an area of 5,588 sq km.

Lake Kanas. there is a small
land looks like footprint of
the Human. it is one of the
best place to take picture in
the afternoon when you go back
